General Practitioner in Newcastle, NSW

A born and bred Novocastrian, Katie moved to Sydney to complete her medical degree at the University of New South Wales, graduating with a Bachelor of Medical Studies/Doctor of Medicine with distinction. Katie spent her residency years at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and St George Hospital, before returning to Newcastle to complete her GP training. Katie achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2022, and was the recipient of the 2022 RACGP GP in Training of the Year for NSW/ACT.

Katie is a clinical GP consulting at Mayfield Medical Connection in Mayfield NSW and a Conjoint Lecturer at the University of Newcastle. Katie is a passionate advocate for evidence-based medicine and is currently completing a Masters of Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Newcastle.

In her free time, Katie enjoys yoga, running, and baking.
